MAD Artes Digitales is an award-winning creative studio based in Madrid that brings humanity’s great stories to life through large-scale immersive experiences. With a mission to make culture accessible, extraordinary and unforgettable, MAD combines 360° projection mapping, multisensory virtual reality, holographic installations and metaverse environments to create experiences that are as educational as they are spectacular.
Since its foundation, MAD has established itself as one of the world’s leading producers of immersive entertainment. Its productions, including Tutankhamun, The Last Days of Pompeii, The Legend of the Titanic and Cleopatra: The Immersive Exhibition, have toured 24 cities across four continents and attracted over 5 million visitors worldwide. ‘Tutankhamun’ also has the honour of having been staged at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, one of the world’s most prestigious cultural institutions, a partnership set to continue growing.
Sohrlin Andalucía
The site that now houses Sohrlin Andalucía forms part of Málaga’s industrial heritage. Its origins date back to the mid-20th century, when these warehouses began operating as the headquarters of TAMESE, a company specialising in the manufacture of large metal structures for industry. For decades, this site was a hub of productive activity that contributed to the city’s economic development and provided employment for many families. Today, those very same warehouses are entering a new chapter.
The project came about through the coming together of two paths: that of Antonio Banderas, a renowned international star and founder of the Teatro Soho, and that of Domingo Merlín, a leading figure in the production of international shows through his company, Merlín Producciones.
